Viva La Vinyl!

Have you ever heard the ancient ones talking about a giant, black disc that made noises when you spun it? Apparently, those discs were called “gramophone records” or, more commonly, “vinyl.” No, they weren’t electronic and they certainly didn’t hold gigabytes. No file transfers, no video support. Nothing. Naturally, with the age of the compact disc and the subsequent age of the iPod, these magic circles were declared a dead medium.

Someone call George Romero! The dead have risen!

According to an article at the Guardian Unlimited, sales of vinyl in the United Kingdom are up an amazing 13%, with our own duo’s Icky Thump as the best seller!

Looks like the Stripes are riding the crest of a new movement in personal music.
